A Wellesley College graduate and resident of Manlius, NY, Messenger is a board member of CenterState CEO, the Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Central New York Regional Advisory Board and St. Joseph’s Health Council of Advisors and a past board chair of Onondaga Community College, Syracuse Stage and the CNY Community Foundation. She is Chapter Chair of two Syracuse chapters and a national Platinum chapter of the Women Presidents' Organization and was Chair of the 2013 Syracuse Go Red for Women Campaign for the American Heart Association.
